Golf events in the eastern Algarve this winter
Four amateur events use the eastern Algarve courses between late November and February, and December brings the lowest green fees of the year at Benamor. Updated every week.

Low season green fees at Benamor from 1 December
From 1 December to 31 January, Benamor's online green fees drop to €66 for a morning round and €59 in the afternoon, against €103 in high season. A 20 round package costs €1,200 all year. Benamor Golf

9th Tee Times Prestige Tournament
Three rounds of individual Stableford, a welcome evening and a prize giving dinner.
Capped at 60 players. Worth knowing about for next year.

Late November to early December 2026
East Algarve Golf Festival
A festival week that moves between five eastern Algarve courses.
Listed in the 28 November to 5 December window; confirm exact dates with the organisers.

8 to 12 December 2026
4th Sotavento Golf Trophy
Three competition rounds on 9, 10 and 11 December, with a choice of two courses each day and a shared buggy.
Sold as a package from €802 per golfer, with four nights at Octant Praia Verde, breakfast, a welcome cocktail at Monte Rei and the prize dinner.

East Algarve Golf Trophy
Five rounds across the five courses, with Wednesday free.
Packages from €1,133 per person sharing, including seven nights at Vila Galé Tavira. Ask the organisers whether they take golf only entries if you would rather stay in Cabanas.
Lessons and practice
Benamor
A 16 bay driving range, putting, pitching and chipping greens and a practice bunker, a 15 minute walk from the apartment. Ask the pro shop about lessons with the Benamor Golf Academia. 1golf.eu
Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima
Where2Golf rates the practice facilities here as excellent. The club asks for a handicap certificate on the course, so it suits golfers who already play. Where2Golf
Base yourself near five of the host courses
Benamor is a 15 minute walk from Ria Green House, and Castro Marim, Monte Rei, Quinta da Ria and Quinta do Vale are within 25 minutes.
