Benamor sells 18 hole round packages all year. Check with the club how long a package stays valid and whether two players can share one before you buy.

Six courses from one base

Benamor is the home course you can walk to. Quinta de Cima and Quinta da Ria are 10 minutes away, Monte Rei 20, and Quinta do Vale and the 27 holes at Castro Marim 25. A month here lets you play each of them more than once without long drives.

Which months to come

December and January are the cheapest months for golf at Benamor, with online green fees of €59 to €66, and the courses are quiet. Days average 16 to 17°C and the sun sets around 17:15 to 17:35, so most golfers play mornings and early afternoons.

High season starts on 16 February, when green fees rise and the days get longer. A stay from early January to mid March catches both: low fees first, then longer, warmer days.

Tournaments to plan around

Two amateur events use the eastern Algarve courses this winter: the Sotavento Golf Trophy from 8 to 12 December 2026, and the East Algarve Golf Trophy from 6 to 13 February 2027, across Benamor, Castro Marim, Monte Rei, Quinta do Vale and Quinta da Ria. Both are sold as hotel packages, so ask the organisers about golf only entries if you are staying with us.

The apartment for golfers

Ria Green House has a locked storage room for clubs and a private garage space, so bags and trolleys never end up in the hall. There are two queen bedrooms and a room with two singles, so a four ball gets a bed each, and two bathrooms for the morning rush.

There is a washing machine for golf clothes (no tumble dryer, but the balcony is south facing), a dishwasher, and a kitchen island that seats three for breakfast.

How much does a month of golf in the Algarve cost?

From Ria Green House, one golfer playing 20 rounds at Benamor pays about €3,000 for a winter month: €1,800 for the apartment and €1,200 for the round package. Two golfers sharing pay about €2,100 each.

Can I walk to a golf course?

Yes. Benamor is a 15 minute walk from the apartment. The other five courses are 10 to 25 minutes by car.

Is there somewhere to keep golf clubs?

Yes. The apartment has a storage room for clubs and a private space in the building’s garage.

When is the best month for long stay golf?

December and January have the lowest green fees at Benamor. February and March have longer, warmer days. Many long stay golfers come from January to mid March.
